Shipping

Terms of Delivery

Delivery is generally within 5 business days. However, we ask you to please allow up to 10 business days for delivery, especially when ordering from more remote NZ locations. Free shipping applies to Auckland and is strictly limited to scooters. Accessories, parts, and bikes are not included.

For scooters over 25Kg Gross weight (including packaging), we ship with Toll NZ / Go Sweet Spot, and in order to offer you the best value shipping we need to deliver to a business address, or have the scooter collected from the local Toll depot. Shipping to a private address can be arranged with a supplement payable.

 

Ordering from Outside of New Zealand

We regret that we are unable to deliver products beyond the borders of New Zealand. This is because of current freight restrictions on the movement of goods containing Lithium-Ion (Li) batteries.


Click and Collect

Click and collect is available from our shop. We ask that you allow one working day for us to prepare the goods for collection. There is the odd occasion when we will need to transfer stock from our warehouse which usually takes 2-3 working days. You will get an email and or a phone call when the goods are ready for collection. For items on pre-order there will be a ETA displayed on the product page. We will email or call you to confirm the arrival date.

How long does electric scooter delivery take within New Zealand?

Most orders are delivered within 1 to 3 business days across the North Island, with South Island deliveries typically taking slightly longer. We prioritise rapid dispatch from our Auckland warehouse to help you reclaim your morning commute as quickly as possible. You will receive an automated tracking link as soon as your scooter is with the courier, allowing you to monitor its journey to your door.

Does Electric Scooter Shop offer free shipping on scooters?

To ensure we provide the best possible value, we outline any freight costs clearly at checkout before you finalise your purchase. Please note that some heavier high-performance models or rural addresses may incur a higher shipping fee due to the specialised handling required for large lithium batteries and heavier scooters.

How are electric scooters over 25kg delivered?

Scooters weighing over 25kg require specialised freight arrangements and may be delivered to a local transport depot for your collection. Because these "beast-mode" machines are too heavy for standard couriers, depot delivery is often the safest way to ensure your ride arrives in perfect condition. We will coordinate with you directly to find the most convenient depot or business address for your delivery.

Do you ship electric scooters to Australia or other international addresses?

No, we currently only fulfil and ship orders within New Zealand due to strict international freight restrictions on lithium batteries. Our focus is on providing industry-leading local support and workshop servicing to our Kiwi community. By keeping our operations local, we ensure that every customer has access to our genuine spare parts and expert technical team should they ever need a repair.

Is click and collect available for my electric scooter order?

Yes, you can choose the "Click & Collect" option at checkout to pick up your order from our Auckland showroom. This is an excellent choice for parents and commuters who want a professional orientation on their new machine. Every scooter collected in-person undergoes a:

  • Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI): Our technicians ensure all bolts are torqued and the firmware is up to date.

  • Safety Briefing: A quick hands-on guide to folding, charging, and operating your specific model safely.

What happens if the arrival date for a pre-order scooter changes?

Pre-orders include an estimated time of arrival (ETA), though global shipping factors can occasionally cause these dates to shift. We understand that students and professionals rely on these arrival dates to plan their transport, so we provide regular updates as information becomes available from our suppliers. Reserving a model via pre-order is the best "lifestyle hack" to ensure you secure the latest tech before it sells out.
