I am a Big Boy (117kg) and looking for local commutes, but was sceptical to find something that would be able to ride without struggling uphill. Took me a long time to decide and finally took the leap with PUNK and bought the 1200w PRO Dual Motor. WOW, this is the most fun I’ve had (with my clothes on) since riding motorcycles in my 30’s. The scooter comfortably carries my weight around and with the dual suspension I ride humps like a kid. Worth every dollar spend and would highly recommend this to anyone at any age. In fact, I’m looking to get a second one for the wife and kids to share, but they only getting the Single 600w (LOL) #ThanksPUNK #AwesumScooter

Great commuter
I have owned the Punk Rider Pro for 3 months, and it has been a great maintenance-free, rain-resistant commuter. The build quality is amazing, with no rattling or wobble at speed. What I like the most about this scooter is the regen brake throttle, which completely replaces the mechanical drum brakes. Despite its size and weight not being small, the good folding mechanism makes it very easy to carry around. With a top speed of 52kph and impressive acceleration from the dual 600-watt motors, it can easily handle any hills in Auckland. The range is not outstanding but acceptable for its price. Riding at full throttle, I get about 30km of range, or 40km at 35kph. While the suspensions are very stiff and more suitable for heavier riders, the large 10-inch tires provide a smooth ride. The app is basic but allows you to adjust the speed, torque, acceleration, and regen brake strength. The 360-degree lighting is a cool feature for dark conditions but is not very effective during the day. I must mention that Andrew and the team at Electric Scooter Shop are amazing to deal with. Their customer support has been excellent.
New stock lands 15th July!! Limited quantities, don't delay on this one, it's a hot cookie!
The latest and greatest from the legendary Hero Scooters, Punk is a brand new concept and range, built by the same founders with the same attention to detail and performance that has made Hero scooters so popular.
The Punk Rider Pro takes on board the feedback and experience gained with the last 3 years of production and comprehensively completes the ‘list of wants’ for today’s scooter riders.
Riders wanted cool modern styling, self-sealing tyres, reliable low-maintenance drum brakes, clear indicators, side lights for visibility, extreme water resistance, as well as performance and range. And boy, have Punk delivered!
The Punk Rider Pro offers an IPX6 grade of weather resistance, the highest available on a scooter at this level. Full-length LED strip lights create a highly visible night-time outline, and full-length indicators make your riding intentions clear to other road users.
Performance is lively from the twin 600w motors, and a capable max range of 50km comes from the 18-ah battery.
The super-clear and bright display with cool-as retro digital dash cluster is another class-leading feature every owner will appreciate. No more squinting in the sunlight.
The Punk Rider Pro ticks so many boxes that we fully expect it to be an overnight success in New Zealand. We love that the factory has listened to our feedback and acted on it to create possibly the perfect sports commuter scooter for Kiwis.
